Here’s a tip for people having same problems like me:
I have installed Filmora and it works fine. However, some of the transitions, filters, stickers, effects, etc. are not downloading at all. It says ‘File download has failed’. In that case, use another network connection instead of the one you are using…mobile data would be a better option. Once you are connected to the new network, you can download the assets and use in your content. You can use the diamond assets as well…video will be exported without watermark in high quality. And even if you are offline you can still use all the downloaded resources. Hope this helped!
after applying all steps I couldn’t open it. There is a massage showing ” The application was unable to start correctly (0x0000906). ” What does that mean and how to solve it plz helppp!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭
I figured it out I placed and copy the files to 14.01 folder then I copied to the original filmora folder and it asked if I wanted to replace I clicked yes and boom it worked.
Once I finished everything correctly and opened the program with no issues, after cropping a video and trying to export it, I am told that I need to login to export the video. Wasn’t this sort of issue solved in the patching of the files and host file?
I am currently installing the filmora app, however, the PATCHER says, “Can not open file!” and “File not loaded” “—-Patching Done—-” what do I need to do?
Did everything like in the instructions but when i try to open Wondershare Filmora after everything should be done it says it can’t execute because its missing files. I did have to create a BorisFX file.
The following files are missing:
FcommonView.dll
Fcore.dll
starting from step 6 i didn’t understand what to do exactly, first of all, the BorisFX file doesn’t even exist, idk how exactly to ” Add these lines to the Host file: ”
like where exactly is the host file? and how do I open it? and then where exactly in the file should I put these lines??
If you’re talking about the BorisFX folder does not exist then create it and paste the files there.
For the hosts file you need to follow the instructions:
1. Open Command Prompt
2. Paste the given code there: notepad C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts (It'll open the hosts file in notepad)
3. paste the IP’s along with the domains there and save the file.
4. That’s it
You first need to install BorisFX and NewBlueFX from filmora Effects panel (click “Download”).
Then close Filmora and replace effects files in C:\Program Files\BorisFX\ContinuumOFX\16\lib (this folder should be created after download).

disable your antivirus then try again

add the files in exceptions in your antivirus

exclude all dll in your antivirus

When I extracted the rar file, Windows Defender says its got a packunwan virus. Is it really safe?
It is safe. That’s a false positive. We always test applications before uploading so you don’t have to worry about anything 😉

make sure you run the patch as administrator and check the logs after patching and see if the files got patched or not

I put the patch.exe in virustotal and it showed at least 19 suspicious files. Are you sure this is trustful?

Um… I can’t save the hosts file
copy the hosts file to desktop and then paste the IP’s and then replace the file in folder
it said to replace the two patched files in the given folder but that folder (BorisFX) isn’t present in Program Files.
In that case, create the folder and paste the files there
