I got it to work, but needed to authorize again when launched the next day. Tried to make a new Authorize.auz file but got error in Ableton, saying it was problem authorizing. Help?
i got it working, this is what i did piggybacking off the instructions in the download

How to install the Application:
=============
1. Disable internet and antivirus (not sure if necessary, your mileage may vary)
2. Install the Application (Ableton Live 12 Suite Installer.exe) when it finishes installing don’t open it when it finishes installing just press close
3. Run ABLETON PATCHER.exe and go to program installation folder (this may be a redundant step i did it anyway)
4. Drag and Drop or copy and paste ABLETON PATCHER.exe into the Ableton live installation folder “C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 12 Suite\Program”
5. Run ABLETON PATCHER.exe when it is in C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 12 Suite\Program
6. Run Ableton Live, when it launches for the first time a pop up asking how to verify license or something like that will appear, press on the bottom right option it should be the one that says, no internet on computer.
7. Run Ableton Keygen V2.exe, when it asks for Hardware ID go back to Ableton and there should be a string of numbers and letters (if the last step was followed correctly), input the full string into Ableton Keygen V2.exe, press enter.
8. Keygen.exe will ask the downloaded version, its suite and 12 I cant remember if there is anything else after that if there is it must have been straightforward
9. There should be a pop up in Ableton now saying enjoy Ableton something like that, anyway enjoy
i was getting a weird error in the patcher Byte sequence not found in file: .\Ableton Live 12 Suite.exe , not sure what was causing this so i basically unsintalled everything and redownloaded it again, followed the instructions above and it worked.
some tips: to uninstall ableton completely run the installation file again, and make sure there is nothing in these registries aswell
Registry –> Regedit
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Ableton
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ableton
i also removed Ableton from my firewall

Can someone help me? I did everything according to the instructions.
1. Disable the firewall.
2. Disable the internet.
3. Install the program.
4. Copy the patch to the C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 12 Suite\Program folder.
5. Run the patch from the program folder and it will say it was successful.
5. Open the program (no internet connection on the computer).
6. Open the v2 keygen and paste the code from the program, selecting Ableton 12.
7. Close and reopen Ableton, but the message “unactivated” still appears.

What’s the use for the other 3 installers? The Cab Files. Should I run it?
No, they’re a part of the main installer. Main installer will make use of those files

block the program in firewall
for anyone with this issue still, do this:
block the app through your firewall in windows security (remove it from the list)
Re run the ‘ableton patcher’ file.
then re authorise the file in using the keygen file
note: if the keygen file has dissapeared then go to settings -> virus and threat protection -> protection history -> then restore the file.
